If I had a nickel for every time a billiionaire tech mogul mentioned AI returning jesus christ, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Gelsinger is actually religious in a traditional way, goes to church and such. I don’t know if or where Thiel goes to church but his beliefs are strongly heterodox.

So, what you're saying is there needs to be a religious authority on Christianity to be driving this AI. Now all you have to do is get all the world's Christians to agree on such an authority!

I'm not sure if I prefer a sincere held belief or the predatory exploitation of other peoples sincerely held beliefs in this insanity.

Religion is weird. American Religion is just baffling to me.
