A heads up that this is one of those recipe sites that go "I'll tell you a long story, but there's actually a recipe at the end". But it's worth the scroll: who knew Gatorade was sold in a flat top can that needed a key?

All recipe sites are like this, because of SEO

and because of copyright law: you can't copyright a recipe that's just a list of instructions, but you can copyright the article that embed the recipe.

The main change is significantly more sugar and artificial flavoring. funny how now Gatorade is introducing low and no sugar variants. Perhaps they should just sell an original recipe variation.

There is a viral trending brand of powder now that is pretty close to the original recipe with no added garbage.

Pocari Sweat is still popular, I wonder how it compares to Gatorade.

"The players who tasted it immediately said it tasted like urine". I wonder how they knew.

One can 'cross-associate' from smell to taste?

True, but imperfect.

I remember it well.

So many athletes now can almost not imagine how it was, when I tell them about when I was a boy the NFL was still drinking Kool-Aid.

Only the Gators had Gatorade.
