I used to look forward to MacOS upgrades. Nowadays I dread it. Spotlight used to be great for quick look up of files, now it is pretty much useless for me. I am back to using finder and manually looking up files.
I hope things would improve and not degrade further. The updated icons is going in the right direction. More clarity and less useless effects.

That "Stocks" icon is bizarre -- imagine a stocks app where the marker indicating the queried position on a trendline actually had that superfluous refraction effect on it.

I love the upgrade, except Siri and iPhone Mirroring.
Siri looks like outlined monotone Pepsi, and --- transparent glassy rectangle as a Phone? It's way too abstract (who can see the tiny line at the bottom?)
I appreciate the address update on Mail App.

I feel like I need to wear glasses to look at the Tahoe icons. They seem blurry or smudged, out of focus.

It's easy to beat up on Apple, but the new icons are like the "jellybean" glass effect filter was removed. I feel like Apple listened to the complaints and are making the right adjustments here.

The new Image Playground one captured my imagination. Good job. I can see how the old icon is confusing with Siri or Apple Intelligence or whatever it's called.

I like it. More contrast in most areas. Better defined. What Tahoe should have been.
The new Siri icon is meh though. Didn’t know what it was at first.

It’s unfortunate that we can’t settle on an icon set for at least a decade. Constantly changing the icons misses the very point of their function: instant recognition.
This is partly why I’ve escaped to text-only interfaces and monochrome icons wherever possible. Granted, it’s not ideal, but sticking with the icons offers no advantage.
